CHRISTUS Children’s offers four locations where children can receive outpatient rehabilitation services – three in San Antonio and one in New Braunfels. Dedicated teams of experienced professionals use their skills and knowledge to help maximize a child’s abilities and prepare them to be as independent as possible.
Our Approach
What is physical therapy?
Physical therapy (PT) helps children gain movement, restore function, and build confidence as they recover from an illness or injury. Physical therapists focus on improving walking, strength, endurance, and gross motor skills.
What is speech therapy?
Speech therapy focuses on improving a child’s speech production, voice quality, problem-solving skills, memory skills, reading and writing skills, and oral motor and feeding skills.
What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapy helps children improve their independence by developing activities of daily living skills such as eating, dressing, grooming and bathing. Occupational therapists can fabricate splints and assess the need for adaptive equipment.
