24/7 Pediatric Emergency Room

CHRISTUS Children’sprovides emergency care to newborn babies and kids all the way up to age 17.  Our specially trained doctors, nurses, technicians, and child life specialists only take care of children. They have all the resources and equipment needed to provide children with the type of diagnosis, testing, and treatment they need.

If your child needs additional outpatient services based on their emergency room visit, we have a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of pediatric subspecialists who are part of the Baylor College of Medicine. We have doctors available in a wide variety of subspecialty areas who are only focused on the health and well-being of children. From psychology to orthopedics and ear, nose and throat, our emergency physicians will provide a referral to an experienced pediatric subspecialist who is part of CHRISTUS Children’s in San Antonio.

CHRISTUS Children's has a Level III pediatric trauma designation meaning our team has demonstrated an ability to provide prompt assessment, resuscitation, surgery, intensive care, and stabilization of injured children of all ages and emergency operations with highly skilled pediatric surgeons and anesthesiologists.
