Serving nearly 400 families each year, our Every Baby Matters program helps bridge the gap between home and hospital.
Through this program, our registered nurses come to your home to provide important medical evaluations for both you and your baby. During these visits, they address any concerns or questions and offer valuable education.
This free service is designed specifically for high-risk patients, including teen mothers, pre-term babies, and those facing feeding or social challenges. Personalized support in a familiar environment empowers you and your little one to thrive during this important time.
Dedicated Mother-Baby Time
At CHRISTUS in New Braunfels, we dedicate Mother-Baby Time daily from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. to support new mothers in resting and recovering before returning home. This special time allows you to rest while also giving you and your baby the opportunity to bond and develop breastfeeding practices with guidance from our expert team.
Leading podiatric organizations recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months and continued breastfeeding for at least a year with other appropriate foods.
Mother-Baby Time ensures you can breastfeed frequently, meeting the recommended eight feedings in 24 hours.
Our board-certified lactation consultants and nurses are available during this time to educate and support you, helping you overcome any challenges and establish successful breastfeeding routines. This initiative, among others, highlights our commitment to nurturing and supporting new mothers and their babies, ensuring you receive the best possible care during this crucial period.
Level II NICU
Our birthing services in New Braunfels are equipped to support premature babies and those needing extra care in our Level II NICU. With on-call neonatologists, we ensure your little one receives specialized attention for a healthy start.

CHRISTUS in New Braunfels is a collection site for the Mothers' Milk Bank of Austin to provide screened and pasteurized donated milk to premature and ill babies. Local moms with surplus breast milk can donate to help ill or premature infants in the area.
