Physical Therapy
Our physical therapy services are designed to prevent injury, alleviate discomfort, build strength and promote physical healing. Licensed therapists use the latest hands-on techniques and equipment to create personalized therapeutic programs for you. Our goal is to assist you in overcoming conditions or injuries of the neck, back, shoulders, hips, knees, ankles and feet, as well as to provide rehabilitative services to those affected by stroke, neuromuscular disorders, and weakness caused by extended periods of inactivity.
Physical Therapy will help you with your mobility skills, including strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, function and reduction of pain if pain is an issue.
Hand Therapy
The hand therapy division of our out-patient rehabilitation department treats patients with hand and upper extremity problems.
These issues include:
- Fractures
- Strains
- Sprains
- Tendonitis
- Cumulative trauma disorders
Our hand therapist is certified to treat tendon lacerations, amputations, hand wounds, post surgery cases and disease processes of the hand and arm. Using a variety of assessment techniques, the therapist will evaluate, with numerous assessment techniques, the functional capacity of the patient and determine the most effective treatment plan. Setting realistic goals, the therapist uses splinting, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities and manual therapy to treat patients and return full function.
