CHRISTUS Health behavioral health services are created to restore your quality of life. Through individualized treatment programs, we are here to provide you with continuous care for inpatient and outpatient treatments. Our board-certified psychiatrists work with patients who are in crisis or have a long-term mental illness. Behavioral health counselors provide daily individual and group counseling, and activity therapists keep patients engaged. Our experienced staff works with patients and their families to provide education, relief, and support to family members or caregivers who are learning to cope with their loved one's emotional health.

Mental Health for Patients Over 55
If you have older loved ones who are coping with aging and mental health issues, our geriatric psychiatry team provides dedicated care for patients over 55. We provide experienced, compassionate services designed especially for the psychiatric and emotional problems often associated with age. Among the conditions we treat are:
- Serious memory disorders such as dementia and Alzheimer’s disease
- Anxiety and major depression
- Psychotic disorders such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia

Signs to look for when assessing the need for care include:
- Difficulty remembering names, appointments, or recent activities
- Confusion and disorientation in unfamiliar surroundings
- Difficulty performing familiar tasks such as driving, cooking, household chores
