CHRISTUS Ochsner completes renovations of new infusion therapy space

CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital is excited to announce the completion of renovations made to create a newly designed space dedicated to infusion services.

The infusion center offers a full range of outpatient treatments, including chemotherapy, long-term infusions, IV antibiotics and blood transfusions. This new space provides a comfortable environment to support patients throughout their treatment journey.

“Our team is thrilled to provide our patients with a permanent space reflecting the compassionate, high-quality care they deserve,” said Amanda Lafleur, director of radiology and infusion services at CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital. “After facing the challenges of relocation following hurricane damage, our team is incredibly proud to welcome patients into a space designed specifically for our services.”

The newly completed area was designed with both functionality and patient experience in mind, featuring spacious infusion bays, natural lighting and an inviting atmosphere.

“Our patients mean everything to us,” said Cynthia Hymel, lead infusion nurse at CHRISTUS Ochsner Lake Area Hospital. “We’ve walked alongside many of these patients for years through their treatments, and to now care for them in this new space is truly rewarding.”

The infusion center is located at 4200 Nelson Road in Lake Charles. It’s open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. and requires a physician referral.
