Hand & Wrist Surgery & Orthopedic Care
Your hand consists of three major parts: wrist (carpal bones), palm (metacarpal bones) and fingers (phalanges). 27 bones, 27 joints, 24 muscles and more than 100 ligaments and tendons make up this immensely delicate part of your body. These parts all work together to allow movement and dexterity for your hand.
We treat common conditions such as arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome as well as sprains and fractures. No matter where you are in your healing journey, we ensure the care you receive is comprehensive, compassionate and geared towards you having healthy, pain-free hands.
Conditions We Treat
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Your carpal tunnel is a narrow passageway of bones and ligaments in the wrist that protects the median nerve, a main nerve in your hand. Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs when the tunnel narrows and crowds the median nerve.
Hand Clinic
We provide specialized care for both non-surgical and post-surgical rehabilitation of both the wrist and hand. Arthritis, traumatic hand injuries, carpal tunnel and upper extremity dysfunction are some of the more common conditions we treat in our hand clinic. Customized programs such as patient education, and orthosis fabrication and fitting are used to help maximize recovery.
Wrist Sprain
Unexpected injuries that result in sprains or fractures are usually the primary reason you may experience wrist pain. This condition can also be remnants of long-term health issues such as ongoing stress, arthritis, or carpal tunnel syndrome.
Fractures
A fracture is a broken bone. It is a condition that can happen to an individual after experiencing a traumatic, painful injury. When a bone is fractured, the shape of the bone is manipulated by the break. Fractures can happen straight across the bone affected or alongside the actual length of it. The result of a fracture breaks a bone in two or leaves it in multiple pieces.
