Why Tyler, Texas?

The largest community in East Texas with over 100,000 residents, Tyler offers cultural diversity, quality education and health care, easy access to large metropolitan areas and abundant recreational opportunities. Set amidst beautiful pine-covered, rolling hills, this vibrant and friendly community is known for the annual Azalea and Spring Flower Trails and Texas Rose Festival activities that attract thousands. For outdoor enthusiasts, nearby lakes and streams offer prime sporting opportunities. Golf, tennis and swimming venues, both public and private, abound.

Why CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances Residency Programs?

The residency programs at CHRISTUS Trinity Mother Frances are a one-year, postdoctoral training program designed to enhance and strengthen the resident's clinical skills and knowledge of the practice of pharmacy. The resident gains practice experience in direct patient care by working independently under the direction of his/her preceptor and participating in team-based interdisciplinary care. The resident works with a research mentor to develop a project to be presented at a pharmacy conference. While learning experiences are tailored to meet the needs of the resident based on personal interest and learning style, a high priority is placed on teaching principles of evidence-based care.
