William Hobbs, MD, is a highly accomplished orthopedic surgeon at CHRISTUS Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic. He is board-certified and fellowship-trained in shoulder and sports medicine.
Dr. Hobbs serves as the chairman of the CHRISTUS Musculoskeletal Institute for Northeast Texas and is focused on providing comprehensive care to patients in the northeast Texas region and surrounding areas.
With a passion for helping patients overcome sports injuries, knee arthritis, ligament and cartilage issues, shoulder arthritis, rotator cuff tears, and shoulder instability, Dr. Hobbs emphasizes nonoperative management, including physical therapy and appropriate injections when needed, with the goal of returning athletes and weekend warriors to their sports, quickly and safely.
Dr. Hobbs brings a wealth of experience to his practice, having completed his undergraduate training at the University of Texas at Austin, followed by medical school and orthopedic residency training at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
His commitment to excellence led him to a fellowship in shoulder and sports medicine at Cornell University Hospital for special surgery. Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Hobbs holds a specialty Certificate of Added Qualification in Sports Medicine. He is recognized as a fellow of the AAOS and is a member of the AOSSM and AOA.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hobbs serves as the head team physician for Tyler Junior College and Whitehouse High School, showing his dedication to sports medicine. Dr. Hobbs' multifaceted approach to treating arthritis in the knee and shoulder highlights his commitment to helping patients achieve a pain-free, functional status. Beyond medicine, he enjoys various sports, snow skiing, reading, and traveling. Dr. Hobbs is taking orthopedic care a step further in Tyler, TX.

Dr Hobbs was very professional very Curtis and he knew you and understated where he was coming from and made you feel comfortable with that and that's why you got ratings that I gave him in the nurses the X-ray the nurse the whole group of people on that floor was very courteous and had a smile and the courteous reply that about covers it

The only thing wrong with my visit was it was a very long wait. Other then that everyone was great.
