About
Dr. Veronica Villarreal is a Developmental Behavioral Pediatrician in the Division of Neurology and Neurodevelopment. She leads the Developmental Pediatrics Clinic at the Stone Oak location. Dr. Villarreal is a Texas native and received a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Texas at Austin. After completing her undergraduate studies, she went on to the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago to complete her medical school training. She completed a three-year residency training in Pediatrics at Cohen Children's Medical Center in New York. She then completed a three-year fellowship training in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston.
She is now an Assistant Professor at Baylor College of Medicine. As a Developmental Pediatrician, she provides comprehensive developmental evaluations. She evaluates for autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays and general concerns regarding childhood development. She provides consultations in her clinic with a focus on diagnostic evaluations. In her practice, she is very dedicated and passionate about helping all children navigate unique developmental challenges and work toward reaching their maximal potential. As a native Texan with roots in San Antonio, she was very excited to join the team at CHRISTUS Children’s to serve families in San Antonio and surrounding areas.
