He provides care for sports related injuries, such as strains, pulls and concussions, as well as chronic musculoskeletal problems, such as osteoarthritis, carpal tunnel disease, etc. His clinical interests include musculoskeletal injury management, exercise prescription, injury prevention, joint injections and ultrasound-guided procedures, as well as nutritional counseling and weight management. In addition, he is trained in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound guided procedures, such as joint and soft tissue injections: including knee, hip, shoulder, hand, elbow, foot, carpal tunnel, trigger finger and other office-based procedures such as laceration repairs, abscess I&D, cryotherapy and fracture care.
Dr. Liras’ goal is for his patients to leave their appointments with a good understanding of their diagnosis, the long-term impact that might be associated with it, their treatment options and when they can safely return back to their favorite activity.
