Dr. Cara Cockerill is a board-certified otolaryngologist who enjoys treating the full spectrum of Ear, Nose and Throat related conditions. She completed her training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota - one of the top training programs in the nation. While at Mayo she was able to gain comprehensive surgical expertise in all aspects of ENT, where there was no case too complex. Dr. William Mayo said, “The best interest of the patient is the only interest to be considered.”, and she has carried this forward as her motto of care.
Dr. Cockerill grew up in Abilene, Texas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Texas A&M with a degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Spanish. Dr. Cockerill received her medical degree from the University of Texas at Houston where she was elected a member of the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. During her residency, she also published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Cockerill has a special interest in hearing loss, allergy, sinus disease, thyroid/parathyroid disease, head and neck cancer, pediatric otolaryngology and vestibular disorders.
