CHRISTUS Health announces joint venture with Kerrville Surgery Center

CHRISTUS Health and Kerrville Surgery Center announced today that they have finalized a joint venture to provide high-quality, compassionate and specialized surgical care to the Texas Hill Country as CHRISTUS Surgery Center.

“Since opening its doors, 16 years ago, Kerrville Surgery Center has delivered high-quality care in a friendly, patient-focused setting,” said Gary Ruff, vice president of ambulatory surgery centers for CHRISTUS Health. “We’re proud of this joint venture and to welcome this well-established team to the CHRISTUS family to continue serving the Texas Hill Country community.”

CHRISTUS Surgery Center, located at 1001 Water St. Building C in Kerrville, will continue to offer care in multiple medical specialties, including ophthalmology, gastrointestinal, pain management, gynecology and oculoplastics. The 5,700-square-foot center is certified by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care.

CHRISTUS’ growth and partnerships across the south Texas region have been deliberate as it continues to expand, innovate and improve health care in the communities it serves. The combination of a well-known and established surgical center with the resources and reach of a large health system means area patients have a strong network of care to rely on close to home.
